Nominations for the year 2005-2006
Dear Chapter
Representatives,
Nominations for the office of Chair-elect on the Chapter Affiliate Council
Board of Directors are currently being accepted for the year 2005-2006.
Chapter Affiliates serve an important role in the ATRA grassroots involvement
with initiatives such as public policy, membership recruitment, leadership
development and supporting research through our Foundation grants. With
Chapter representation and active involvement, ATRA is better positioned
to address such initiatives.
Qualified Candidates should have demonstrated leadership serving on their
respective Chapter Board of Directors and must be a current ATRA member.
Position Description and Requirements
Chair-elect
This is a two year commitment beginning at the 2005 ATRA annual conference.
In the first year, the Chair-elect works closely with the Chair and the
rest of the CAC Board in maintaining open lines of communication, learning
the CAC process in preparation for the upcoming Chair position, serving
as a CAC Board Liaison to approximately 10 chapters, serving as Editor
of the tri-annual CAC newsletter online, actively participating in conference
calls and CAC meetings at the ATRA annual and mid-year conferences. In
the second year as Chair, this position requires attendance and participation
on the ATRA Board of Directors as an Ad Hoc member. Attendance is required
at both the ATRA annual and mid-year conferences as well as the ATRA
Board of Directors annual budget meeting held in Alexandria, Virginia.
Procedure
Please mail all nominations, postmarked no later than May 25, 2005. All
nominees must give verbal or written consent to accept the nomination.
Please include nominee’s phone number and a resume outlining leadership
experience for consideration by the nominations review committee. All
nominees will be contacted for confirmation.
