Lone Star Therapeutic Recreation Association hosted its annual one-day workshop on October 19,2001. We had about 30 people in attendance. Cathi Macmahan was our Keynote speaker, who spoke about internships from all the different perspectives. The focus of our workshop was mainly on rehabilitation. We had several members present.

Our organization is in the process of rebuilding our membership. Our chapter has supported the ATRF through the silent auctions at the conferences and by giving donations. We are currently taking nominations for our board. Goals for the up-coming year are: (1) to continue to increase membership; and 2) offer at least one educational workshop to provide an opportunity for our membership to get CEU's at the local level. We will have a Holiday Party in December for all members and student interns to attend for fun and networking opportunity.
