Duties: Manages staff, volunteers, programs, and a 15,000 square foot facility on a 6-acre park site. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; minimum of 5 years related experience and at least 2 years in a lead, supervisory or manager role or equivalent combination of education and experience. Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist; and Therapeutic Recreation Specialist/Texas Certified; or eligibility to obtain certifications within one year of employment. First Aid & CPR certifications. CDL preferred and/or must be able to obtain within 12 months of hire. Understanding of therapeutic recreation strategies and interventions and trends. Ability to evaluate participants in crisis medically or behaviorally and safely manage the situation. Understanding of diagnostic information and implementation of medical procedures. The Administrative Coordinator will provide national coordination for Alliance projects and Board of Directors’ activities. These currently include Project GAIN and the various Board of Directors’ approved committees.
