Team Mission: To position the recreational therapy profession as a recognized, funded and viable rehabilitation treatment option for all health care consumers through legislative and regulatory initiatives.

Board Direction Statement 2007: Monitor federal regulations and legislation that impact the practice of the consumers of recreation therapy. Position the association to proactively influence federal legislation and regulation. Collaborate with Coverage and Reimbursement team in legislative initiatives regarding the RT Medicare Project. Provide the membership with regular updates on federal public policy issues, via presentations, website, newsletter, etc.
