Description of the Network: The Community Inclusion
Treatment Network is a speciality group within ATRA
established to promote and preserve the grassroots
philosophy of professional development. This network
is being developed to provide recreational therapists
who study, volunteer, or work in community-based
settings a means of support that will ultimately
benefit them as practitioners who are better able
to provide quality therapeutic recreation services
to their clients. The Network also educates ATRA
members about the community as a recreational therapy
setting.

Community park and recreation departments, recreation
centers and playgrounds
Partial hospital programs
Acquired brain injury programs
Private practice
Community behavioral health centers
Group homes/residential facilities
Private family/home-based locations
Home health care
Adventure programs
Rural, suburban, urban recreational programs
