Dear ATRA Member,

Peter Thomas, ATRA's Legislative Counsel has just confirmed the rumors that HCFA has extended the public comment period for the Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility Prospective Payment System (IRF PPS) to February 2, 2001.

For all of you that have provided your comments this week, THANK YOU!

For those of you that perhaps were a bit too busy this week, you have another month!

ATRA will remain vigilant on this issue throughout January. We will be monitoring other rehabilitation organization's comments, and the MED PAC recommendations to be released in January, 2001 regarding the IRF PPS. We will continue to keep you updated, or for the most current information, please visit our website.
