CLINICAL PRACTICE GUIDELINE TEAM
SEEKS R.T. PAIN MANAGEMENT INVESTIGATORS
The
ATRA Clinical Practice Guideline Team under the leadership
of Dr. Peg Connolly, CTRS and G.T. Thompson, M.Ed.,
CTRS, is working to develop essential clinical practice
guidelines using the expertise of leading recreational
therapists to design models which will be used by
qualified professionals to enhance evidence-based
practice and consistent client outcomes. Technical
experts are being sought to provide assistance and
leadership to a national Recreational Therapy Pain
Management Clinical Practice Guideline work group.
Individuals with experience and knowledge of Recreational
Therapy interventions utilized in addressing pain
management are encouraged to apply. These are volunteer
positions and require conference call and email communications
as well as an onsite meeting scheduled for the 2004
ATRA Mid-Year Conference. Work group investigators
will be eligible to be Pain Management Clinical Practice
Guideline Trainers following successful project completion.
To apply
please forward a letter of interest describing your
experience with design and delivery of recreational
therapy pain management interventions to Dr. Peg Connolly,
Ph.D., CTRS at PegConnolly@stny.rr.com or to G.T.
Thompson, M.Ed., CTRS at Gthompson@SHScares.org.
