Practice Guidelines Team Seeks R.T. Obesity Investigator
(Alexandria, VA) The ATRA Clinical
Practice Guideline Team under the leadership of Dr.
Peg Connolly, CTRS, and G.T. Thompson, M.Ed., CTRS,
is working to develop essential clinical practice
guidelines using the expertise of leading recreational
therapists to design models which will be used by
qualified professionals to enhance evidence-based
practice and consistent client outcomes. Technical
experts are being sought to provide assistance and
leadership to a national recreational Therapy Obesity
Clinical Practice Guideline work group. Individuals
with experience and knowledge of Recreational Therapy
interventions utilized in addressing obesity are encouraged
to apply. These are volunteer positions and require
conference call and e-mail communications as well
as an onsite meeting scheduled for the 2004 ATRA Annual
Conference. Completion of previous ATRA Clinical Practice
Guideline training is preferred, but not required.
Work group investigators will be eligible to be Obesity
Clinical Practice Guideline Trainers following successful
project completion.
