ATRA’s Annual in Therapeutic Recreation (Volume 8) offers a diverse set of stimulating articles that span the scholarly continuum from research to professional practice. Articles focusing on research include the use of therapeutic modalities, comparison of individuals with differing abilities, and use of coping strategies among people with AIDS. Professional practice articles include health promotion interventions, efficacy of sensory stimulation, a multicultural critique of service models and quality and process improvement strategies.
